As well as conducting extraordinary interviews with some of the world’s most famous people – Bono, Bill Clinton, Clint Eastwood, John Travolta, Mel Brooks, Cate Blanchett, Al Gore, Angelina Jolie, Steven Spielberg – host Andrew Denton also talked with those not normally found on the interview circuit: con men, Nobel Peace Prize winners, nurses, truckies, schizophrenics, mountaineers, homeless people and murderers.

Using humour and original lines of questioning, Andrew managed to open up his guests in ways that even surprised them. Each show was different with interviews that could run from five to 50 minutes. The winner of numerous awards, Enough Rope, was watched on Monday nights by one in every four Australian households. After 191 episodes and 500-plus guests, the success of Enough Rope proved the truth of its motto: ‘Everyone has a story’.
